The Single Origin of the Month will focus on promoting a different coffee farm/producer each month. This City Roast profile will highlight the notes and flavors of the beans that each farmer expects in every cup.
This month's offering is from the Dominican Republic.
Sourced from the Ramirez Estate in the Dominican Republic’s Jarabacoa region, this single-origin coffee stands out for its exceptional quality and deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility. As a family-owned, third-generation farm, the estate ensures above-Fair-Trade wages for over 400 workers, supports Haitian laborers in gaining legal status, and invests in community education through school building and resources. Environmentally conscious practices include converting coffee cherry pulp into natural gas, recycling water, and using compost fertilizer.
Experience this coffee's many flavors of sweet sugarcane, juicy red fruit, and mellow almond notes, finishing smoothly with a sweet vanilla soymilk creaminess.
